The purpose of the Zero Carbon Caravan is to inspire, to demonstrate by practical action that one of the most difficult things to do without emitting carbon, travelling, can be achieved, and can be fun.

Itinerary Update

Hello there. The ZCC is gathering momentum. We only launched the website today, but already there are film-makers, psychologists, activists, academics, campaigners and others asking about the itinerary.

The Zero Carbon Caravan (ZCC) will generate a mass movement of individuals and organisations to carry the message of action on climate change to the UNFCCC talks in Copenhagen (2009).

We are making our way to Copenhagen without using fossil fuel transportation. Along the route we'll connect with local groups to establish an itinerary of ‘zero carbon conferences’ to build momentum for zero carbon awareness.

The ZCC will act as a coordinating hub for other ‘caravanning’ groups, encouraging worldwide participation to demand of the UNFCCC our mission: ‘A zero carbon world, as fast as we can’.
